HypeRate is now integrated into VRCNext ❤️

We are always excited when developers find new ways to bring HypeRate into their projects, and this one is especially cool for everyone using VRChat.

As of yesterday, HypeRate is officially integrated into VRCNext.

If you have not heard about VRCNext yet, it is an all in one companion app for VRChat that brings a huge collection of useful tools together in one place. Friends, worlds, avatars, groups, OSC tools, your chatbox, VR utilities and much more can all be managed from a single application.

And now your heart rate can be part of that experience too.

Your heart rate inside VRChat

With the new HypeRate integration, VRCNext can receive your live heart rate directly from HypeRate and make it available inside its VRChat tools.

That means you can take the heart rate coming from your Apple Watch, Wear OS watch, Garmin device, Bluetooth heart rate monitor or any other device supported by HypeRate and bring it into your VRChat experience.

For us, this is exactly what HypeRate is supposed to be about.

We do not want your heart rate to live inside one app. We want developers and communities to be able to use it wherever it makes sense. Streaming was where HypeRate started, but gaming, VR and interactive experiences have become a huge part of what people build with our platform.

VRChat in particular has always been a really fun community for this.

Seeing your actual heart rate become part of your virtual presence adds something that is surprisingly personal. Whether you are hanging out with friends, playing a horror world, dancing, exploring or just want your avatar to react when your heart starts racing, it connects something happening in the real world with what is happening in VR.

About VRCNext

VRCNext was created around a simple idea. Instead of having a whole collection of different applications running alongside VRChat, why not bring the tools people actually use into one place?

It includes features for managing friends, groups, worlds and avatars, alongside OSC tools, chatbox features, VR utilities, media tools and much more.

It is also a project that is actively being developed and shaped by its community, which made this integration especially nice to see.

We love seeing independent developers build things with HypeRate, and we want to say a big thank you to the VRCNext developer for adding HypeRate support. ❤️

If you are using VRChat and HypeRate, definitely give VRCNext a try.

We are also really curious to see what the VRChat community does with live heart rate data next.
